What started as a small take-out window in the back of a coffee shop has grown into an Ottawa icon, known for bold flavours, good vibes, and a loyal community that keeps coming back for more.

Inspired by the iconic Paninaro movement born in 1980s Milan, we bring that same love of good food, music, and fashion to the heart of the city. Every sandwich starts with our signature freshly baked schiacciata—crispy, airy, and golden—layered with imported meats, cheeses, and house-made spreads that highlight real Italian flavour. But what truly sets us apart is our vibe: energetic, welcoming, and a little nostalgic.

About the Paninaro Culture

The term Paninaro comes from a youth movement that started in 1980s Italy — a generation that embraced fashion, music, scooters, and café life with effortless style. The Paninari were known for hanging out in sandwich shops (paninoteche), wearing designer clothes, and living with confidence and flair. It was more than a look — it was a lifestyle built around community, individuality, and great food. Today, we carry that spirit forward, celebrating what it means to eat well, live boldly, and enjoy every bite.
